A Productive and Interactive Meeting with the Beneficiaries of Hanns Seidel Scholarship Program

ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN: The Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) Pakistan in collaboration with the National Dialogue Forum (NDF), organised an interactive session between Afghan students receiving scholarships under Hanns Seidel Scholarship Program (HSSP) and Mr. Andreas Hergenröther, Resident Representative of HSF Pakistan in Islamabad. The primary objective of the meeting was to discuss demand related knowledge-transfer through training workshops under HSSP enabling benefitting scholarship holders to achieve professional and community related targets.

Held on June 6, 2023, the session brought together a diverse group of Afghan students who are currently benefitting from HSSP. They had the opportunity have an interactive discussion with HSF-Pakistan-team identifying their concrete demand regarding professional and community related aspirations.

During the interactive session, the participants focused on key aspects of capacity building and explored potential pathways for enhancing their skills.

Moreover, the students shared their experiences with HSF Pakistan highlighting the positive impact on their academic performance and professional competence due to their participation in HSSP events.

13 scholarship holders belonging to different parts of Pakistan participated in the session.

HSSP beneficiaries are Afghan students who are officially registered as refugees in Pakistan and enrolled at Pakistani universities. In line with the policies of the Government of Pakistan, HSSP offers financial grants, conceptual support, and professional development opportunities.
