Academic and Professional Skills Development Training for Afghan Scholarship Holders in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN: Hanns Seidel Scholarship Program (HSSP) organized a two-day Academic and Professional Skills Development Training on Effective Written Communication Skills for scholarship holders. The training was jointly held by Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) Pakistan and National Dialogue Forum (NDF) in Islamabad from June 28-29, 2022. 

The two-day training aimed to equip the scholarship holders with the academic and professional written communication skills to be utilised in both academic and professional settings. The training was conducted in a combination of interactive, practical, and theoretical learning sessions pertaining to academia and the workplace environment. The expert trainer stimulated immersive learning while enhancing the participants’ knowledge base and the overall training experience. 

The training activities also comprised pre-training and post-training assessments and ethical guidelines. Furthermore, the scholarship holders were taught the various mediums and techniques related to professional written communication.

13 HSSP scholarship holders from all over Pakistan participated in the event.

HSSP aims to support talented Afghan students in Pakistan to contribute to the rebuilding of their home country when returning to Afghanistan. The students are officially registered as refugees in Pakistan and enrolled at Pakistani universities. In line with the policies of the Government of Pakistan, HSSP includes financial grants, conceptual support, and professional development opportunities.
