ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN: Hanns Seidel Scholarship Program (HSSP) organised a two-day Professional Skills Development Training on Microsoft PowerPoint and related Communication and Presentation Skills for scholarship holders. The training was jointly organised by Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) and National Dialogue Forum (NDF) in Islamabad from March 07-08, 2022.
The two-day training was a combination of related soft and technical components of developing and delivering a good presentation. Through such training, HSSP aims to enable and equip the scholarship holders with the skill-set required in a professional setting. The training was divided into various sessions based on interactive activities to innervate experiential learning, while enhancing the participants’ knowledge base and the overall training experience.
Ms. Kerstin Gruener from HSF Headquarters in Germany joined the second day of the training. She said:
It gives me immense pleasure to be among all the talented Afghan students from all over Pakistan and see the enthusiasm to enhance skills in a conducive arrangement by HSF and NDF.
Dr. Steffen Kudella, Resident Representative HSF and Mr. Sheharyar Khan, Executive Director NDF were also present on the second day of the training to assess the participants’ practice performances on presentations developed by them. These practice performances served as a tool to gauge the participants on their learning throughout the two-day training.
16 HSSP scholarship holders from all over Pakistan participated in the Professional Skills Development Training.
HSSP aims to support talented Afghan students in Pakistan to contribute to the rebuilding of their home country when returning to Afghanistan. The students are officially registered as refugees in Pakistan and enrolled at Pakistani universities. In line with the policies of the Government of Pakistan, HSSP includes financial grants, conceptual support and professional development opportunities.
